Santiago da Praça

The most typical food in Porto is called “Francesinha” and the nr 1 place to go for it is “Santiago da Praça”. It’s absolutlely delicious. Eat at lunch because it is a heavy food! Coming to Porto and not eating Francesinha is a huge mistake. 3 important things you need to know about the Francesinha. (1) Eat with beer or Coca Cola, (2) Ask the french fries apart, not in the same dish and most important, (3) If the sauce ends before the “Francesinha”, ask for more, its free! Do not eat the “Francesinha” witout the sauce! Price range around 10/12 per person.

Cervejaria Gazela

The other place you cannot miss in Porto is called “Cervejaria Gazella”, and what you will ask here is what everyone else is having, the famous “Cachorrinhos”.
